Half-time graduate teaching assistants receive a stipend for the academic year and a waiver of tuition. The stipend for the 2004-2005 academic year is $10,991 for MS students and $12,586 for PhD students. Graduate research assistants also receive a waiver of tuition: the stipend is variable, but typically approximates the teaching assistantship stipend.
